Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP, for short) is an experience for men and for women (separately) to build up a personal openness to Christ and to renew this Catholic Parish.   The CRHP weekend is put on by men for men and women for women.  It involves an entire Saturday and a morning and afternoon of Sunday held right here at St. Chris and is open to all adult parishioners past high school age.

Who can come to the retreat?

We invite all men and women of the parish who have never attended a Christ Renews His Parish weekend to come. Although the weekend is based on Catholic belief, you do not have to be Catholic to come. You don't have to be a regular churchgoer. The weekend might be just the opportunity you need to ease yourself back into active church participation. All you really need is a desire to come and see.

And you don't have to know any of the team members or other attendees in advance. We will welcome you and make you feel at home. You will be our guest.

When are they held?

Where do they take place?

They are held at St Christopher Parish Campus . This permits us to keep expenses down, so that we can offer the weekend at no cost to you. The parish will pick up the cost of meals and needed supplies.

Who puts them on?

Christ Renews His Parish teams are made up of  men and women who previously made the weekend.

The presenters are not professional retreat masters. They are just like you.

What is the weekend like?

This is not a silent retreat. The emphasis is on personal and community renewal. There are short presentations, time for reflection and some discussion at tables of 3 or 4. There will be no pressure on you to talk. You can say as much or as little as you wish.  Sensitivity to you and your needs will always be respected. You are a guest and will be treated like one.

Expect to have time to pray, laugh, talk, listen and get away from your everyday life. Dress is casual.
